Philosophy: As a fitness professional, I believe that fitness instruction is more than counting repetitions and creating challenging workouts. As a trainer, my goal is to teach you how to make the right daily decisions to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I believe that every person has different needs, and therefore requires a different fitness and nutrition program to obtain their personal goals. It is a fact that those who are not educated about fitness will never truly achieve fitness. My goal is to be there to educate and motivate you, enabling you to safely achieve all of your fitness goals. I truly believe that any person can improve their fitness level, regardless of limitations set forth by age, injury or illness with the right trainer and the proper knowledge. Education: I am certified with the highly recommended National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and I am a graduate of the National Personal Training Institute, where I finished at the top of my class and also won the Award for Academic Achievement. At the Institute I also became certified as a Nutrition Consultant. I studied and worked with many special populations, such as pre- and post- pregnancy, elderly population, injury re-habilitation and body building as well as classic elements such as weight loss, mass gaining, strength conditioning and periodization for specific athletic performance, to name a few. Experience: I have helped many different types of people in achieving their fitness goals, such as obese clients, clients who have recently had children, those who just need to do a bit of toning and clients new to fitness training all together. I have trained one highly specialized client under multiple doctors’ supervision. This Client has a terminal illness, which through a combination of resistance training and nutrition counseling has made significant gains and has beaten his dismal prognosis of less than a year to live. I am extremely proud of all of our efforts and look forward to helping many people with different objectives. Whatever your objective we will team together to reach your goals! Testimonials: "A truly motivating trainer! Lisa is sincerely committed to you as an individual, with a genuine desire not only to help you reach your fitness goals, but to teach you how to maintain a healthy lifestyle."
-Lindsay Royce, Greeley, CO "Lisa has truly helped me to defy the progress of CF (Cystic Fibrosis) and regain of quality of life that I had only known when I was much younger. I am now able to return to work teaching part time after several years on long term disability."

I recently moved to Northampton from New York. I have been working as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer from the World Instructor Training School for about two and a half years now. I received my Bachelor Degree in General Biology from Sacred Heart University in 2004. I then pursued animal field research which was fun while it lasted. I soon realized the significance of one of my hobbies. The hobby I do everyday for at least an hour at a time…exercise. I enjoy being active. It makes me feel good about myself. This is when I thought why not do something I love and motivate others in the process. I then decided to get Personal Fitness Training Certified. I have worked in gyms as well as on my own, going to clients’ houses, holding group classes, as well as training sport teams. I have been through many knee surgeries and rehab so I have extensive knowledge on knee injury dos and don’ts. It is one of those jobs that I feel good doing. It is rewarding when I motivate people to get healthier and just getting them to feel good about themselves while getting results. If I instill a little confidence in a person even for one day then it is worth to me as a trainer. Getting the results you want will require work, but it is doable for everyone and with the right trainer you can accomplish your goals!
